One such example of a minimally invasive surgery is endoscopy. Endoscopy is a minimally invasive diagnostic medical procedure used to assess the interior surfaces of an organ by inserting a tube into the body. The instrument, called an endoscope, may have a rigid or flexible tube. This device may have a camera at the tip and is transmitted into an external monitor. In this way, the device can provide an image that can be used for visual inspection and photography. This also enables the doctors or the staff in charge intaking biopsies and retrieval of foreign objects in a patient’s body. Endoscopy is the vehicle for minimally
invasive surgery.
